Champs Meat Processing: To ensure your beef is processed in an efficient and quality manner we need your cut sheet information within 48 hours of your beef being delivered to our facility. Our customer care representatives will give you a call to go over the various options but here is a list of key items for you to be aware of:
Here are some helpful tips and things to consider when deciding how you want your beef processed. There are four categories that we utilize when developing cut sheets: roasts, steaks, rounds, and other. Purchasing either the full, half or a quarter of beef will influence the number or options you have when processing your beef. If you decide not to have one of the selections below, that meat will be turned into ground beef.

HAMBURGER WILL LARGELY DEPEND ON THE AMOUNT OF FAT ON CARCASS. WHEN ASKING FOR A LEANER BURGER EXPECT THE YIELD OF TAKE HOME TO BE SMALLER BECAUSE MORE FAT IS THROWN AWAY

In addition to the processing fees, you will be charged a slaughter fee and a cleaning/disposal fee for your head of cattle. The fees are charged based on how much of the cattle you are having processed.
Typically, the entire slaughter, age, process, and package cycle takes around two weeks. You will receive a notification when you beef is ready to be picked-up. If you do not pick your beef up within 10 days of the notification you will receive a daily freezer charge and if your beef is not picked up with 21 days it will be offered to another customer.
For weekend deer drop-offs we will call you Monday morning. Weekday drop-offs will receive a call the next day.
